Al MAQAM

On January 12, 2018 in the Russian-Chinese Business Park held a large friendship meeting and a general session of representatives of Chinese and Iranian circles of St. Petersburg. The meeting chaired by the chairman of the Chinese Society of St. Petersburg Chen Zhigang and chairman of the Russian-Iranian Friendship Society of St. Petersburg Ahadova Nargis.

Also the meeting was attended by President of the Cultural Foundation "St. Petersburg and abroad," Professor of St. Petersburg State University Ninel Olesich, president of the development of scientific and cultural projects, "Al Maqam" Igor Pankov, the plenipotentiary of the President of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, Head of the Department of World Politics of the Faculty of International Relations St. Petersburg state University professor Yagya Vatanyar, deputy director of the museum of anthropology and ethnography named after Peter the Great RAS Efim Rezvan, Deputy Director for research of the state museum of Religious history Yekaterina Teriukova, chairman of the creative union "Montmartre" Alena Verkhovskaya and others.

The meeting was devoted to the establishment of friendly relations and the implementation of joint plans for 2018 and laid the foundation for all-round cooperation in the cultural, tourism and educational activities. It was decided to regularly discuss the questions, invite the delegation to exchange visits, conduct friendly exchanges and cooperation in culture, art, education and tourism.

The meeting resulted in the signing of an agreement of intent to establish friendly relations of cooperation between the Chinese Society of St. Petersburg and the Russian-Iranian Friendship Society.

The evening ended with a festive banquet, where specially prepared dishes of Iranian cuisine were presented on this day.
